1. Who we are

Lumi Scraper is made by Arkadeep Chakraborty ("we", "us"), an individual in India, of Rajpur, Kolkata 700149, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. You can reach us at support@lumifine.co. By using Lumi Scraper or making a support payment, you accept these terms.

2. What Lumi Scraper is

Lumi Scraper is a Chrome extension that turns lists, tables and pages you choose into spreadsheets and other files, and Lumi Engine, a program on your own computer that reads whole websites for the extension. It is in private testing, free to use, and not yet in the Chrome Web Store. Paid plans don't exist yet; if they're introduced, their terms will be published here before anyone is charged.

3. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old. If you use Lumi Scraper for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

4. Using it responsibly

What you scrape, and what you do with it, is your responsibility. You must follow the law and our Terms of Use, including copyright law, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the laws of the countries whose websites and people are involved. You must not:

• solve or get around CAPTCHAs or other bot checks;
• scrape behind someone else's login, paywall or access control, or use someone else's account;
• send so many requests that a website slows down or fails, or scrape a site after its owner has asked you to stop;
• collect personal data without a lawful reason, or use it to spam, harass or profile people;
• publish or sell copyrighted content you scraped as if it were yours.

You choose whether a job follows a website's robots.txt. If you turn that off, you take responsibility for the choice.

5. Your data

Your results are yours. They stay in your browser and in your own Lumi Engine; they don't reach us. If your results contain other people's personal data, you decide why and how it's used, and you're responsible for having a lawful reason. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest.

6. Support payments

You can support Lumi Scraper's development with a voluntary, one-time payment of an amount you choose, on a payment page run by Cashfree Payments. A support payment is not a donation to a charity, isn't tax-deductible, and doesn't buy a plan, features or priority help. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

7. Our software

Lumi Scraper, its code, design, name and icon belong to Arkadeep Chakraborty. You may use it for your own or your organisation's purposes. You may not copy, modify, resell or share it, reverse engineer it (except where the law allows this despite these terms), get around its limits or licence checks, or use it to build a competing product. Lumi Scraper includes open-source software under its own licences, listed in the credits below.

8. No guarantees

We build Lumi Scraper with care, but websites change constantly, so we can't promise that every site can be read or that results are always complete or accurate. Except for rights the law gives you that can't be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Lumi Scraper is provided "as is".

9. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business, and our total liability to you is limited to the support payments you made to us. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll announce important changes on this website before they apply.

11. Law, complaints and grievance officer

These terms are governed by the laws of India. For any complaint, write to our grievance officer, Arkadeep Chakraborty, at support@lumifine.co. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
